Unusual Delve league of POE
Path of Exile players will soon have the opportunity to descend into the deepest, darkest parts of Wraeclast come August 31. As part of the upcoming Delve expansion, those who can effectively wield the power of the light will reap the biggest rewards, while those who fail to do so will be consumed by darkness.
This new expansion is also set to introduce the first ‘infinite’ dungeon, the Azurite Mine, which will be a far greater challenge than even the current endgame maps. Competitive players will be able to check a ladder and see who was able to venture further into the dungeon's endless depths.
The Delve League
In Path of Exile: Delve, you will delve into the Azurite Mine’s infinite depths to extract treasure and discover its subterranean secrets. Our latest expansion features an infinite dungeon and pocketable currency items, as well as a bunch of new unique items, skill gems, balance changes, graphics engine improvements and more!
The Azurite Mine and Upgrades
Left untouched for over 250 years, the Azurite Mine has been consumed by a malevolent darkness that cast out the Eternal Empire. Niko, an inventor, has harnessed the power of Voltaxic Sulphite to create a machine called the Crawler that can pierce the darkness. Delve into the mine but don’t leave the Crawler’s light for long or you’ll be crushed by the darkness.
Any Azurite you find in the mine can be traded to Niko at his base camp. In return, he offers to upgrade the Crawler and can sell you flares, dynamite and crafting materials to aid your exploration. Deep Civilizations
Deep in the Azurite Mine, you’ll discover many different biomes. As you delve even deeper, you may encounter lost cities from Wraeclast's dark history. Each environment has its own monsters, bosses, encounters, and rewards.
Explore The Darkness
The Azurite Mine is full of treasures for those brave enough to risk the darkness for short periods of time. Use flares to venture farther away from the Crawler's path, and dynamite to destroy unstable walls which conceal even greater rewards. Light Is A Resource
It may come as a surprise, but mines are dark. And an ancient and infinitely deep mine in the world of Wraeclast? Even more so. That’s because this isn't your typical darkness. In the ancient Azurite mine (no, not that kind of Azurite) players will be exploring as part of Path of Exile: Delve, darkness can kill in moments.
New Skills
In every expansion, Path of Exile introduces new (or reworked) skills to create even more build possibilities. In Delve, there will be a total of 10 new or heavily reworked skills.
One of those new skills is Smite, a skill for the Templar subclass, Guardian. The ability causes a bolt of lightning to crash down on a targeted enemy, as well as on another nearby enemy. Not only that but using Smite will also empower teammates with additional lightning damage and a chance to shock enemies with attacks.
Powerful New Items
A Path of Exile expansion is not complete without powerful new items to discover! Delve includes 7 new Divination Cards and 18 new Unique Items which have a focus on creating powerful new build opportunities.
You thought we introduced done? There’s plenty more being added with the Delve update, including 18 new unique items, incredibly rare Timeworn Reliquary Keys, Delve leaderboards so players can compete to see who can descend furthest into the mines, and more. Path of Exile: Delve will make the game look better than it ever has before.
